The qualification will provide a basis for progression to the study of the IAB Level 3 Diploma
in Computerised Accounting and the IAB Level 4 Diploma in Accounting to International Standards.
It will also provide some coverage of Units 4, 6 and 15 of the National Occupational Standards which
gives additional coverage of NVQ in Accounting at Levels 2, 3 and 4.
It will also provide progression
to A/AS levels in Accounting and related units in the Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education (AVCE) qualifications.
Assessment
All Learning Outcomes will be assessed through two, externally set and marked, two hour examinations each consisting of a series of four hand-written questions.
Please note, that exam fees are separate to course fees and are payable directly to
the IAB upon signing up for the actual exam. Exams are held in January and June, please

that you are a distance learning student with AAS Training and they will appoint you to the nearest exam centre to your location.

The qualification has been designed to provide the essential knowledge, understanding
and skills required to complement and enable candidates to progress to other related qualifications at Level 3 and Level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework.
